hello
have a beautiful day
smiles& peace
It is easier said than done, about e-mailing Rosie. She is a public figure and I cannot just e-mail her. I do not think her e-mail address is published anywhere either.
ahh…so cute in ur army clothes.
JL….just send her a quick question on her blog. she loves ur photos….i am sure she would love to help.
http://www.rosie.com
ps…she still has your site linkined on hers.
There is always self-publishing – with investers from your family – yes RO is a possibly – not for giving money to folks [she does thru foundations] – but I think she is good at guiding people to the right folks to assist them – everyday leave a message @ rosie.com – sooner or later she could see it – she is I know a believer in you – as we all are. So give it a try over and over – couldn’t hurt for sure… Blessings… Palestar in Santa Fe
BTW – why are you getting so many hair cuts ;o) ?
don’t do self publishing
it’s a money making enterprise but not for the writer
or if she’s fav’ed you through flickr, contact her through flickrmail
Are you even allowed to publish them? Don’t you need permission from the army or something?
Self-Publishing has worked for many very popular books Celestine Prophecy for one – but must agree it is can be risky.
As far as permission from the Marines – why would you need their permission? You did not photograph classified area or… Just mainly Iraq etc.
I sent you an email about two publishers, one published my Uncle’s book, and another a friend of my Aunt’s book.
Also, as others have mentioned, get in touch with Rosie O’Donnell … something tells me that she will guide you to the best publisher for your specific "market"
How are you enjoying California?
BTW I believe your book will be a best seller! :0)
Christian: Correction. I am in the Marines, not the Army.
Eaglespirit: Self-publishing is out of the question. I have big plans for this book and I want the maximum amount of exposure. As for Rosie, I agree. She is not a publisher. But hey, if she knows people who can help, I am more than willing to accept any help!
Ellipse: Mhm… I wonder if I should contact Heather instead? I mean, she has experience in book publishing. And I am willing to entrust my work to her (and trust that the integrity of my work will not be compromised).
Sunblock: Erm, no? These photos were not taken as part of my job. I am NOT a combat cameraman. I am just a grunt who happens to have a camera and uses it to relieve stress.
Raidernette: Thank you! And California is awesome.
As for it being a best seller, I agree. It sounds conceited, but I would buy this too.
Welcome home!!!
I am very glad you came home in one piece and hope this is the last of your tours in Iraq.
If you have retained any email from Rosie just hit reply.
I am sure you must have thought of this and I’m positive all your fellow flickr buddies are all writing Ro telling her to contact you.
As you know Ro’s life has been crazy at the moment and would more than love to know you came home safe and sound (This news will make her so happy.) and will contact you the instant she knows you are trying to contact her.
Keep the faith. Ro didn’t forget you, she loves you.
Peace
Again welcome back. I wrote Ro twice and I hope all her bloggers do the same.
Come on fellow bloggers, let’s all help Jayel out.
It may be easier 4 Ro’s bloggers to just cut and paste this to get her attention:
Jayel Aheram is trying to reach you. He said he leaves u a msg every day at rosie.com and hopes 1 of these days u will see it. Check your link to him, his pic on June 3 caption has his email. Peace
YES!!! I apologize JL….MY BAD
ARMY = Ain’t Ready To Be A Marine Yet (RRRRGGGGGHHHH!!)
I only asked because in the Greek army you’re not allowed to even carry a camera inside the base. Let alone taking pictures… They strip search you in the entrance.
On the other hand cell-phones aren’t allowed either, but somehow people manage to smuggle them in.
I have been checking out your pics since Rosie put the link up on her website. You are an amazingly handsome and brave man! ; )
AstroBoy: Thank you.
Christian: Haha, you are forgiven!
Mrs. Devil Dog: Hahahaha! So they say! So they say!
Oorah.
Sunblock: Yikes! That is too bad.
Wendy: Thank you.
The tan line is hilarious. Love the expression too.
this pic is now my wallpaper. The few, the proud, the MARINES!!!!
everytime someone asks who it is i send them to your site
let us know when it happens. i want to buy the book, too!
stef (steffiegyrl)
Great move…
awesome soldier and nice shot
Yeah, I can’t stand when people see a Marine in uniform and say they are in the ARMY.. It just shows their ignorance. Anyways, Where are you stationed at in CA? If you could Email me, that would be great, because I was just curious to know your MOS…but I know due to OPSEC rules you may not want to post that info on here. Anyways..get back to me.
Thanks! A brilhant gallery! Great.
