How to tell my real opion on a book?
My friend wrote a book… Trying get published I want to help cause it’s not that good I’m normal brutally honest I don’t wanna hurt them but I wanna say my thoughts. And can you switch fro. First to third person mid story like
Ashley jones walked happily down the street her day was going wonderful ‘I can’t believe it’ I thought i spun around and screamed in joy

Be honest, but constructive. People can generally tell when you’re making crap up, I’ve found. Just don’t be mean.
As for switching tenses, definitely don’t do it mid-sentence. You can do it between chapters if you want or divide into larger sections with different narrators, but it’s not in very good taste, I’d say, to switch mid-chapter, not to mention mid-sentence.
That said, serious authors have done it almost that quickly. But, like the one-word chapter, they can only get away with it when their name is what’s primarily moving the books off the shelf.
You have to be honest or he/she will not improve. And, no, you shouldn’t change from first person to third person in one story.

You need to be honest with them. If it’s horrible then you need to tell them and give them suggestions. They need some constructive criticism. The publishing company won’t hesitate to tell them it sucks and trust me they will not sugar coat it either. Then how will they feel? Just tell them the truth and offer to help let them know what is wrong. If they are a good friend they won’t get offended.

Well, whenever I write, I expect someone to tell me if they don’t like something about it.
Maybe your friend is looking for the same thing.
I want the person I let read my work tell me what they really think because if there’s something I need to improve on, then I should know. The same thing goes for your friend.
