Thanks in advance
please serious answers! otherwise I will give u a low rating
i know how you feel. i always wrote heaps of books, like half-books, and never finished them! id give up and get bored. however, i recently finished a book, recently as in yesterday!!!!, and it is because i spent months and months just watching the whole story happen in my head, as if it were a movie, and one day, my friend, it will be. im not saying this is what you have to do, because it’s not. but it does help to have a plan. think of the idea first, then like write down an exciting event that will happe, the charecters, what will happen to the charecters, and the ending. this all helps you to keep going. its easy once you get started and easy to connect each scene with the other. anyway, writing stories is about creativity, it all comes from your own imagination. you can use whatever influence you want.
have fun, good luck, and id like to read a book by you one day…lol if i saw a book written by Aastha.vats, id buy it.
Hahahahahahahahahaha.

You need a pencil and a notebook.
Don’t worry about anything else until you have several thousand words in it.

Sit down and write it. Start at the beginning and stop at the end. And make sure you have interesting stuff in the middle.

I’m fourteen and it’s in my reach. Don’t worry about the procedure of the whole thing, just write the novel first and then worry about it.
Good luck

First thing, it doesn’t matter what age you are when writing a book. It doesn’t impress anyone anymore unless your actually good. Most thirteen year olds are not. Second, it is never a good Idea to write a book with any one. Most jointed authors stink because you can tell who wrote what part. Plus it would damage your relationship because one of you might not think a scene is good and the other might love it and you’ll end up fighting over it. Trust me I know, I’m your age. Third, there are no written guidelines to writing a book. That’s one of the reasons I love writing myself, I love the freedom. I can write what ever I want about anything I want in any form I want. I just makes me want to get up right now and start writing. I hope I helped you, and please think before deciding if you really want to write a book and share to credit with someone else. Good luck.

To bring a Book from inception to publication can take long time. Write the book you’re burning to write, and make it as good as you possibly can. There is only one rule: don’t bore your reader.
I know you’ve never written a book before, you would be wise to complete your manuscript before you Start writing.
Put your manuscript away for at least a couple of weeks, then read it right through, asking:
1. Have you kept the spotlight on your basic theme and main characters?
2. Have you developed your characters fully, portraying them through their actions, reactions and interactions, and keeping them ‘in character’ throughout? Don’t let them act out of character without a good reason.
3. Does the story maintain a satisfactory ’cause and effect’ sequence, with each event following on logically from what has gone – before?
4. Dont write like ekata kapoor serails.
5. Have you left your reader feeling satisfied that the whole story has been told? Make sure you haven’t left any unintentional loose ends.
6.Are you absolutely sure your book is as good as you can make it?
Thats all i can say. Beat of luck. Dont forget to invite me when you get some prize.

Okay, well to all those youngsters out there I am less than a month away from turning 17 and I have decided it’s time I flaunt that fact!
Anyways…
No procedure – you can do whatever you want.
Here’s mine though (just to contradict myself, lol)
– write, write and write
– read what I’ve done
– edit, write, leave for a week, repeat
– start a new story whenever I get bored or can’t be bothered with my other ones
– read other people’s stories
– make myself happy so that I have the inspiration to write by answering people’s questions on yahoo Answers
– write plot
– re-write entire story (I’m a bit obsessive in that respect – I can’t help it)
But yeah, main point is, just write, write and do more writing. I don’t have the time for reading novels because I always have so much school work, and I prefer writing anyway.
Great idea to write a book together. I’ve always wanted to do that but none of my friends have the time to write, and they don’t enjoy it as much as me.
Good luck, and enjoy yourselves!
PS. It’d be great to read any intros you have – always such a thrill to read new stuff!
