I am excellent at writing, editing and punctuation. I want to do something with my mind. How do I go about starting my dream? Just start writing? Or is there some kind of guideline to follow?
First, you wouldn’t want to think that far ahead. Write whatever it is you’re writing, find a publisher and go from there. The greatest novelist of our time went through the same process, Ray Bradbury is a fine example. It’s not easy.
First, you write it.
Just sit down and write the great american novel.
Then, write a cover a letter and send your brilliant masterpiece to every any publisher you can find. They have people who will scan it, maybe read it, or throw it out.
Good luck
